Andaman Tour Booking Confirmation
What makes your booking officialA booking with Gallivanting Tours is confirmed and secured only once both of the following happen:
Receiving a price quotation does not block or guarantee any hotel, ferry or service on your behalf. Prices and availability remain subject to change until we receive your advance payment and issue written confirmation.
A confirmation issued by Gallivanting Tours via email, WhatsApp or a printed document — explicitly stating your booking is confirmed — is the formal record of your reservation.
Phone calls or informal WhatsApp messages that don't carry an explicit written confirmation from an authorised Gallivanting Tours team member are not a guaranteed reservation. Always ask us for it in writing.
Once confirmed, you'll receive a detailed itinerary, hotel vouchers and ferry ticket information as applicable. Keep this document safe — you'll need it throughout your Andaman trip.
Andaman FIT Tour Booking Policy
Individual travellers, couples & families up to 10 guestsFIT (Free Independent Travel) bookings cover individual travellers, couples, families and groups of up to 10 guests travelling together under a single booking. This section of our Andaman tour booking policy applies to most leisure travellers.
FIT Advance
Quick Summary
- The 50% advance must be received within the timeline stated in your booking email, failing which the quotation may lapse and availability cannot be guaranteed.
- The balance must be paid in full at least 7 days before your arrival in Port Blair. We reserve the right to cancel the booking if the balance isn't received by this deadline.
- For bookings made within 7 days of the travel date, full payment (100%) is required at the time of confirmation.
During peak season (20 December – 15 January) and long weekends, advance payment requirements may be higher and deadlines tighter. These will be communicated clearly at the time of quotation.
Andaman Group Tour Booking Policy Key
Groups of more than 10 guestsGroup bookings are parties of more than 10 guests travelling together. Because these bookings pre-commit a larger volume of hotel rooms, ferry seats, vehicles and permits, they carry a different advance schedule under our Andaman tour booking policy.
Group Advance
Quick Summary
- Group bookings involve pre-blocked inventory. Cancellations or headcount reductions after confirmation may still attract charges for the originally blocked number of guests — see our Cancellation & Refund Policy for details.
- Any change in guest count after confirmation must be communicated in writing at the earliest. Reductions may not result in a proportionate refund where inventory is already committed to suppliers.
- For corporate groups, institutional bookings or incentive tours, a customised payment schedule may be arranged and detailed in your individual booking agreement.
- Group bookings made within 15 days of travel require 100% payment at the time of confirmation.
Planning a corporate trip, wedding group, family reunion or school excursion to Andaman? Reach out early — popular dates and ferry slots fill up fast, especially October through January.
Andaman Travel Agent Booking Policy
Ground handling for registered travel agents across IndiaAlongside direct traveller bookings, Gallivanting Tours works as a ground-handling Destination Management Company (DMC) for registered travel agents and tour operators across India, providing hotels, transfers, ferries and activities for their clients in the Andaman Islands. This section of our Andaman tour booking policy outlines how agent bookings work.
Agent bookings are billed on the same FIT (up to 10 guests) or Group (11+ guests) advance and balance schedule described in sections 02 and 03, applied to the agent's account rather than the end traveller.
We do not contact, upsell to, or share promotional content featuring your travellers without your consent. Vouchers, itineraries and on-ground support are coordinated through you, so your clients continue to see you as their travel partner.
Agent bookings are handled through a dedicated WhatsApp and email line, separate from our direct-traveller enquiries, so quotations and confirmations move quickly during peak booking windows.
- Net rates provided directly to registered agents — no public listing of agent pricing.
- Vouchers and confirmations issued in your agency's name where requested.
- Same 24×7 on-ground support extended to your travellers as to our direct guests.

Andaman Tour Additional Charges & Fees
Transaction, gateway and currency chargesPackage prices quoted by Gallivanting Tours reflect the cost of the services specified. Certain charges tied to your chosen payment method are borne by the guest and are not built into the package price. This is standard across the Andaman travel booking terms.
Charges borne by the guest
- Payment gateway fees — typically 1.5–3%, charged by the gateway provider on credit/debit card and online transactions.
- Bank charges — any NEFT, RTGS or IMPS fees levied by your bank during transfer.
- Currency conversion charges — for guests paying in foreign currency or with international cards, any forex markup or cross-border fees charged by your bank or card network.
- International card surcharges — some gateways apply an additional surcharge on international cards.
Charges borne by Gallivanting Tours
- GST on our own services, already included in your quoted price where applicable.
- No hidden charges beyond what's specified in your confirmed itinerary and booking document.
To avoid gateway charges altogether, we recommend UPI (zero charges) or direct bank transfer (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS — minimal or no charges) as your preferred payment method.
Failure to Make Andaman Tour Payment Important
Consequences of missing payment deadlinesPayment deadlines exist because Gallivanting Tours commits resources — hotel rooms, ferry seats, vehicles, permits and activity slots — to your booking on your behalf. Missing a payment deadline has direct consequences under this Andaman tour booking policy.
| Situation | Consequence |
|---|---|
| Advance payment not received within deadline | Quotation lapses; booking is not confirmed and all holds are released |
| Balance not paid 7 days before arrival (FIT) | We reserve the right to cancel the booking; cancellation charges apply |
| Balance not paid 15 days before arrival (Groups) | We reserve the right to cancel the booking; cancellation charges apply |
| Payment received but unclear or unmatched reference | Booking held pending verification; not processed until funds are confirmed |
- We make reasonable attempts to reach the guest before cancelling a booking for non-payment, but we cannot guarantee inventory holds beyond the stated deadlines.
- Any supplier costs, cancellation charges or losses arising from non-payment are recovered from the guest's paid advance before processing any refund of the remainder.
- Re-confirming a booking cancelled for non-payment is subject to availability and may involve revised pricing if supplier costs have since changed.
Having difficulty making a payment within the stated deadline? Message us before the deadline passes. We will do our best to accommodate you — but only if we hear from you in advance. Silence does not extend a deadline.
Chargeback Protection for Andaman Bookings Key Clause
Payment disputes, reversals & fraud preventionPlease read carefully. This clause protects both parties against fraudulent or unjustified payment disputes under our Andaman tour booking policy.
If a guest initiates a payment dispute, chargeback, or reversal — through a bank, card company, payment gateway or any other financial institution — after services have been booked, confirmed, partially rendered or fully used, the following applies:
- Gallivanting Tours reserves the right to contest the chargeback in full by submitting booking records, payment confirmations, communication history and service logs to the relevant financial institution. We will provide comprehensive evidence to demonstrate that the services were properly booked, confirmed, and delivered in accordance with your agreement with us.
- All supplier costs committed on the guest's behalf — including non-refundable hotel bookings, ferry tickets, permit fees and activity bookings — remain the guest's financial responsibility regardless of the chargeback outcome.
- We reserve the right to recover all associated losses from the guest, including the disputed amount, supplier cancellation charges, administrative costs, gateway penalty fees, and any other costs arising directly from the chargeback.
- Recovery of losses may be pursued through legal channels under applicable Indian law, including the Consumer Protection Act 2019 and the Information Technology Act 2000.
- A guest found to have initiated a fraudulent or unjustified chargeback for services received or confirmed may be reported to the relevant authorities and declined future bookings.
If you have a genuine concern about the service you received, contact us directly on WhatsApp or email before raising a bank dispute. Most issues are resolved amicably, and far faster than a formal chargeback process.
We're committed to resolving any legitimate service complaint fairly and promptly. Direct communication is always faster and better for everyone — please reach out before escalating; we're here to help.
Andaman Tour Payment Receipts & Records
Your right to documentation- We issue a payment receipt or acknowledgement for every payment received, by email or WhatsApp, within 24–48 working hours.
- A GST invoice or tax receipt is issued where applicable, on request, under our applicable GST registration.
- All payment transactions, confirmations and related communications are recorded electronically and may be used as evidence in any dispute resolution or legal proceeding.
- Please keep all payment receipts, booking confirmations and communications for the duration of your trip and for at least 12 months after.
- Haven't received a receipt within 48 hours of paying? Contact us right away — don't assume your payment has been received without confirmation.
If you believe you've made a payment but haven't received confirmation, share your transaction reference number, payment date and amount with us. We'll verify and issue a receipt within 24 hours.
